Russia sends more humanitarian aid to Syria

A Russian Il-76 with 38 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in Syria at 9.37 am today, RIA Novosti reports.

It took off on Thursday at 4.30 am, carrying sugar, canned food, children’s food.

80 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered by Russia and passed the Red Crescent Society in Syria.

European Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response Kristalina Georgiyeva met Russian Minister for Emergencies Vladimir Puchkov on Tuesday and noted that Russian and EU humanitarian aid should be beyond politics.
