The Armenian government plans to approve the protocol on dissolution of the CIS Council for Oil and Gas. The council was closed down at a session of the Commission for Economic Affairs of the CIS Economic Council on March 30, News.am reports.
The CIS Council for Oil and Gas was formed in 1993 to discuss prospects of oil and gas demand in 10-15 years. 11 states joined the organization.
Armenia joined the council in 1995. Sessions of the organization became rare in 2003. Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Moldova did not want to renew the old format.
