Head of the Gldansk Prison N8 in Tbilisi has been replaced after the scandal around tortures in the prison on September 18. Georgian social networks, Maestro and 9th Channel released videos of the tortures, provoking protests in Tbilisi and other cities.
Georgian Minister for Corrections and Legal Assistance Khatuna Kalmakhelidze resigned on September 19. Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili passed the resignation note.
