Bilalov quits Federation Council of Russia

The Senator of the Krasnodar Territory Ahmed Bilalov is leaving the Federation Council of Russia, Yuga.ru reports.

Bilalov, CEO of the Northern Caucasus Resorts, joined the Federation Council in October 2011, replacing Alexander Pochinok.

Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachyov did not extend Bilalov’s terms of office in April 2012, Izvestia reports.

Former Director General of ITAR-TASS Vitaly Ignatenko is believed to be the new senator to replace Bilalov. Ignatenko is the fourth in the list of United Russia, according to regional parliamentary polls.
