President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has dismissed Prime Minister Karim Masimov. He will be temporarily replaced by Vice Premier Sergey Ahmetov, CA-NEWS reports.
Nazarbayev’s advisor Yermuhamet Yertysbayev expects Masimov to replace Aslan Musin as the head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan. The advisor praised Masimov’s 5 years as the Prime Minister for his economic and political efforts.
Masimov has been in office as a Prime Minister since January 2007, the longest terms a Kazakh PM has ever had. He graduated at the Beijing Language Institute, Legal Institute of the Wuhan University, Kazakh State Management Academy. He is a specialist of international law and economy. He is a PhD. He speaks English, Chinese and Arabian.
