Iranian president to limit uranium reserves

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in New York on Saturday for the UN General Assembly. He said that Iran wanted to make concessions and limit uranium reserves. The president expressed doubts that uranium enriched to over 3% was the reason for pressure, Interfax reports.

He noted that no key decisions will be made before the presidential polls.

Ahmadinejad reinforced that Iran has the right to protect itself from any attacks. He said that Israel was provoking Iran to start a conflict.

The Iranian president said that offending Prophet Muhammad with the “Innocence of Muslims” film was unacceptable and had nothing to do with freedom of speech. He criticized the murder of a US ambassador in Libya.
