The Avlabarskaya residence of the Georgian presidenct has held an
extended Georgian-US meeting, Trend reports.
Together with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the US
ambassador to Georgia John Bas, deputy Secretary of State for European
and Eurasian Affairs Phillip Gordon, representative of the State
Secretary for Energy Affairs Richard Morningstar, director of national
security Elizabeth Sherwood-Sandal and head of the female department
of the State Department Melani Werveus represented the US side.
The Georgian side was represented by the President Mikhail Saakashvii,
Premier Nika Gilauri, secretary of the national security council Eka
Tkeshelashvili, Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, Deputy Foreign
Minister Georgiy Bokeriya, head of the US department of the Foreign
Ministry Otar Berdzenishvili, deputy interior minister Eka Zguladze,
Minister of Economy and Stable Development Vera Kobaliya, Defense
Minister Nika Vashakidze and Georgian ambassador to the USA Batu
Kutelia.
After the meeting the Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and the
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a one-on-one meeting.
Hillary Clinton later headed to Old Tbilisi and will observe the
Bridge of Friendship.
