Qatar urges Arab states to interfere in Syrian conflict

Qatar has urged Arab states to interfere in Syria, Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani said at the 67th session of the UN General Assembly, RIA Novosti reports.

The official said that the UNSC had failed to settle the problem.

The conflict in Syria has been ongoing for over a year. The UN says that over 20,000 people have died. Syrian authorities say that they face well-armed militants supported by foreign states.
