Iranian representative to the IAEA Ali Asgar Soltaniye said that Iran will stop uranium enrichment to 20% if sanctions against Tehran are lifted, Trend reports.
The idea was expressed at a meeting of Iranian negotiator of nuclear affairs Sayid Jalili and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton in Istanbul on September 18.
Iran insists that the program has peaceful purposes. Five permanent members of the UNSC and Germany are expected to discuss the problem at the UN General Assembly in New York.
