Grad Sviyazhsk, a new minor missile ship, will start service at the Caspian Fleet in 2013, spokesman of the Southern Military District Colonel Igor Gorbul said today, ITAR-TASS reports.
The ship construction started at the Zelenodolskoye Construction Bureau of A.M. Gorky in August 2010. It is a multi-purpose river-sea-class ship. It uses Kalibr-NK high-range missiles. It will protect Russia’s economic zones.
