Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhanov has attended a meeting of the Public Council, the governmental website reports.
Police Chief of the North Caucasian Federal District Khachim Shogenov, Deputy Chief of the Coordination Council of Police Veterans and Interior Troops of the NCFD Mikhail Izyumsky, members of public councils and territorial structures of the Russian Interior Ministry and NGOs attended the meeting.
Alkhanov said that the Public Council, formed 4 years ago, has done a lot of work, improving social confidence and security.
He emphasized that the public plays an important role in preventing expansion of extremist ideas, salvation of young people from terrorist recruitment.
The minister discussed joint measures to promote moral education, prevention of terrorism and extremism and encouragement of assistance of young people in strengthening social security.
