Russian investigators have questioned the deputy editor-in-chief of Regnum,
Igor Pavlovsky, who has been declared persona non grata by the Latvian authorities.
The interrogation was carried out at the request of the Financial
Police of Latvia.
As previously reported, in August the Foreign Minister of Latvia,
Edgars Rinkevich, declared the former editor of the news agency Regnum,
Modest Kolerov, to be persona non grata, as well as his deputy Igor
Pavlovsky.
This decision was made based on the information received from
competent authorities of Latvia that Kolerov and Pavlovsky were
secretly engaged in activities directed against the security interests
of Latvia, including the territorial integrity and economic security of the country.
