Talks on EU associate membership for Georgia will begin this summer, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze told journalists in Tbilisi on Wednesday, Georgia Online reports.
The minister was speaking after a meeting with his Slovak counterpart Miroslav Lajcak.
“Besides this, we welcome the initialing of an aircraft agreement with the EU which will be signed in the near future. At today’s meeting we have also talked about the simplification of the visa regime with the EU,” Vashadze said.
