Georgian Dream gets 53.3%, UNM 41.5% after processing 20% votes

The opposition coalition Georgian Dream is the leader after processing of 20% of votes by the Central Election Committee. According to it, Georgian Dream gains 53.3% of votes by this time. Second place is taken by the ruling party United National Movement with 41.5%, Interfax reports.

As for results of the majority lists, candidates from the ruling party are leaders in 27 out of 73 one-candidate districts; Georgian Dream’s candidates in 18.

The first reaction of the US was voiced by Victoria Nuland. She noted the big amount of international observers who followed the situation in the Georgian ballot stations. She also mentioned the high voting turnout.
