Terrorist attack halts Azerbaijani gas supply to Turkey

The terrorist blast at the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipeline halted Azerbaijani gas supply to Turkey, Trend reports.

Gas pumping will be restored in 7-10 days.

The blast happened at the Sarikamis District of Turkey’s Kars Province. Botas requested BP Azerbaijan to stop gas pumping on Thursday. Gas supplies from Shah Deniz to Azerbaijan and Georgia and to pumping stations of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline continue. The previous blast happened on May 29, 2012.

Turkey buys 6.6 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas annually.
