The Georgian Dream coalition is facing a long and difficult process of coordinating positions within the political unit, which is why Ivanishvili is careful when talking about the future of the Georgian government, the Director General of the Information and Analytical Center for the Study of the post-Soviet space and Deputy Dean of the History Faculty of Moscow State University, Alexei Vlasov says.
"Nothing is clear. Georgian Dream is a heterogeneous political force, a conglomerate of political movements. This is why, despite the victory, the leader of the party, Bidzina Ivanishvili, was very careful in his wording at a press conference... Why? Because there will be a difficult period of conciliation in the camp of the victors, where not all those who entered into the coalition with Ivanishvili share positions on economic and political issues, including future relations between Georgia and Russia," the expert told the analytical agency Rex.
