Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that he would initiate the return of Georgia to the Commonwealth of Independent States, RIA Novosti reports.
The CIS includes Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Georgia has withdrawn from the Commonwealth.
Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on Monday. According to preliminary data, the opposition has won the elections.
