A detachment of the Russian Federation navy flotilla, consisting of the flagship "Tatarstan" and an MB-58 tug under the flag of flotilla commander Counter-Admiral Sergey Alekminskiy, is going to visit Azerbaijan on October 9-11, the Russian embassy in Baku told Trend.
The purpose of the visit is to develop and strengthen friendly ties between Russian and Azerbaijani seamen in the Caspian Sea.
The agenda includes business meetings, exchanges of experience, introducing the Russian seamen to the sights of Baku and joint sports events.
