Azerbaijan becoming Eastern Europe’s most IT advanced country - official

Azerbaijan is becoming the most advanced country in the sphere of information technology, not only in the South Caucasus and the former Soviet Union, but also in Eastern Europe, the head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Social and Political Department, Ali Hasanov, said at the official opening of Azerfon's new head office, Trend reports.

"Azerbaijan is implementing a big and ambitious project to launch its own satellite. The country will soon render satellite services not only to its citizens, but to the entire Eurasian region," Hasanov said.
