Policein Russia's North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria have
found an improvised explosive device in a vehicle belonging to a
policeman in the city of Tyrnyauz. The device has an explosive power
equivalent to 1.5 kg of TNT, Interfax reports.
An improvised explosive device equal to 20 kg of TNT went off at 6.30
p.m. in the city of Baksan on Tuesday, but no one was hurt. In the
same city, an unknown person attacked the house of a criminal
investigation officer using an automatic weapon in. The officer was
wounded in the leg and hospitalized.
A policeman was also shot dead in the Baksanskiy region of
Kabardino-Balkaria on Tuesday.
