Iran does not support PKK - Iranian Foreign Ministry

Iran does not support the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), a
spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, told
a news conference on Thursday in Astana, Trend reports.

Earlier, the Turkish media reported that Iran has been supporting the
PKK, which is declared a terrorist in Turkey and many other countries.
"We deny the reports of the Turkish media," Mehmanparast said.


He added that senior Turkish officials are aware of the real situation
and know that the PKK has no support from Iran, but receives it from
other countries. He added that some Western countries are not
interested in stability in the region and for that reason are trying
to provoke a conflict using all means.
