The construction of a memorial complex at Beslan's school No1, destroyed in a terrorist attack in September 2004, has begun. The complex is dedicated to 335 victims of the attack, and preserves the shell of the building, Interfax reports, citing regional administration.
German company Knauf Kassel is constructing the memorial. It was earlier reported that the building where the tragedy took place had become dangerous, making it necessary to build a new roof and strengthen the ceilings.
