Turkmenistan and Romania sign intergovernmental deals

 

Turkmen and Romanian Presidents Berdimuhamedov and Trajan Basescu attended the ceremony of signing intergovernmental deals in Ashkhabad, Trend reports.

The documents include an action plan of their Foreign Ministries for 2013-2014; a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in exchange of information on money laundering and terrorism financing between the Turkmen Ministry for Finances and the Romanian National Office for Prevention and Control of Money Laundering; a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in transportation.

The action plan will focus on realizing the joint declaration signed by the presidents in Askhabad on July 22, 2009.

The Turkmen-Romanian dialogue is realized within the framework of development of cooperation with the European Union. Turkmenistan and Romania mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
