Turkey, Cameroon sign visa-free travel deal

An agreement on the abolition of the visa regime between Turkey and Cameroon was signed during the official visit of Turkish President Abdullah Gul to the West African country, 6news.com.tr reports.

At a joint press conference with his Cameroonian counterpart, Paul Biya, after the official signing ceremony, Gul declared that the agreement on the abolition of the visa regime will give impetus to bilateral relations between the two peoples and countries and mentioned again that his country will be a voice for Africa, Turkish mass media report.

The Turkish president also called on Turkish businessmen to build factories and plants in Cameroon. “The north and south of our planet stand in marked contrast. In the north, people live in prosperity. When billions of people on our planet are denied the normal conditions of life it’s impossible to provide quiet all over the world. Turkey will continue to support Africa in the international arena,” Gul said.
