A frigate of the French national fleet, Jean De Vienne, will visit the Georgia port of Batumi on July 8. The ship will stay until July 11 and will participate in joint military training with Georgian forces, News Georgia reports.
French officials will also meet representatives of the Georgian Defense ministry. Sailors from the two countries will also play a football match.
Georgia and France signed a memorandum on economic cooperation last month. The deal involves cooperation in the spheres of energy, tourism, and investment.
