The Holiday Inn Sokolniki Hotel in Moscow held a meeting of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR), attended by 104 delegates and religious figures, AzerTAG reports.
Emin Hajiyev, head of the AYOR board, made a speech about projects realized under presidency of Leyla Aliyeva in the organization. He emphasized that the goal was to improve Russian-Azerbaijani relations.
The official said that Azerbaijani young people represented the culture, traditions and customs of Azerbaijan in Russian with honour. He emphasized that AYOR had over 70 regional offices. Hajiyev described public initiatives realized by the organization, including the Justice for Khojaly Campaign launched by Aliyeva.
AYOR published its first magazine on May 10, 2010, the birthday of Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Representatives of youth NGOs held a meeting on dialogue and cooperations, moderated by Shakhin Seidzade, Chairman of the National Council of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan. Over 40 organization attended the talks. Azerbaijan was represented by Ireli, a public organization, Seymur Orujev, head of the youth association of Yeni Azerbaijan, officials of the Union of Young Student Organizations, the Silk Road International Youth Association, young MPs Fuad Muradov and Jeykhun Osmanly. Russia was represented by Marina Filaretova, head of the Sodruzhestvo International Youth Organization, Vladimir Kharchenko, head of the National Council of Young and Children’s Associations of Russia.
