Netanyahu denies rumours about Syria talks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denies rumours about holding talks with the Syrian government, Interfax reports.

According to previous reports, the Israeli government was holding peace talks with the al-Assad regime. Some news agencies reported that Israel was ready to return the Golan heights to Syria.

"Israel will never agree to such an initiative. This is an out-of-date and irrelevant proposition," the Prime Minister said.
