Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Sunday that the plane detention in Turkey will not affect Russian-Turkish relations, RIA Novosti reports.
The minister said that the cargo detained belonged to a Russian organization, was legal and meant for Syria.
Lavrov denied reports of NRW about Russian cluster bombs used in Syria. He reminded that Moscow had proposed approval of Geneva talks on Syria by the UNSC. Realization of peace initiatives requires an end of violence, return of UN observers and a start of negotiations.
