An Iranian drone Shahid-129 launched from the south of Lebanon on October 6 spent 3 hours in the aerospace of Israel until it was shot in the north of the Negev Desert, ITAR-TASS reports.
Shahid-129 is capable of staying in the air for 24 hours and travelling 2,000 km. It was presented in Tehran last month.
The drone was launched by the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution from Lebanon. It flew over the Mediterranean Sea, entered the aerospace of Israel near the northern border of Gaza and headed to the nuclear center at Dimon. The drone was sending back video signals. Stealth technologies helped the drone remain undetected.
