Turkey has passed chairmanship in the council of foreign ministers of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
Baku is hosting a session of the said council.
ECO is a regional economic organization of Middle Asia and Middle East founded in 1985. It is the successor of the Regional Cooperation for Development Organization based on the Izmir Treaty signed by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey on March 12, 1977.
