Azerbaijan and Russian Foreign Ministry hold consultations on Caspian Sea

The Russian Foreign Ministry held bilateral consultations with Azerbaijan on the Caspian Sea, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

The consultations were attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and the delegation headed by the Special Representative of the President of Russia on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border with the neighboring countries - participants of the CIS, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Minister, Igor Bratchikov.

The participants in the meeting discussed the draft convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea and a number of important points on enforcing the protocol adopted at the summit of the Caspian littoral states held in Baku on November 18, 2011.
