Russia to set up S-400 air defenses at southern borders

Russia will set up the S-400 Triumph missile systems on the southern borders before the end of 2012, Interfax reports.

The new systems will replace the S-300PM missile launchers at the Southern Military District of Russia, spokesman of the district Colonel Igor Gorbul said on Monday.

He noted that 16 units of military equipment, including Pantsir-S systems were installed this year. Over 60 more radio and missile systems will be installed this year.
