Bidzina Ivanishvili, a candidate for Prime Minister from the Georgian Dream coalition, has presented candidates for the vacant seats of government today, Vzglyad reports.
Football player Kakha Kaladze will be the Vice Premier and Minister for Energy. He was presented as a candidate for Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Projects.
Economic expert David Narmania will be the Minister for Infrastructure and then the First Deputy Minister for Finances. Nodar Khaduri will be the Finances Minister. Georgy Kvirikashvili of the Cartu Bank will become the Minister for Economy.
Khatuna Gogoladze and David Darakhvelidze will be the Ministers for Environmental Protection and Refugees.
Amiran Gamkrelidze, a candidate for Minister of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection, refused to work in the government of Georgian Dream, because his son is heading an insurance company. He will remain Ivanishvili’s advisor.
Doctor David Sergiyenko will become the Healthcare Minister. Political analyst and supervisor of GIPA, Georgy Margvelashvili, will become the Minister for Education and Science.
Irakly Alasania, leader of Our Georgia – Free Democrats, will become the Defense Minister and Vice Premier, Teya Tsulukiani of the Georgian Dream will become the Justice Minister, Irakly Garibashvili will become the Interior Minister, Sozar Subari, former human rights activist, will become the Minister for Corrections and Legal Assistance, Maya Panjikidze will become the Foreign Minister, Alexi Petriashvili, head of the Our Georgia – Free Democrats, will become the State Minister for European Integration, David Kirvalidze, former Minister for Agriculture and Food during Shevardnadze, will become the Minister for Agriculture and Catu Bank Director Nodar Javakhishvili will become the head of the National Bank.
Archil Kbilashvili will become the Chief Prosecutor, Paata Zakareishvili of the Republican Party will become the State Minister for Reintegration, Guram Odisharia (Sukhumi) will become the Minister for Culture and Monument Protection, Levan Kipiani, son of football player David Kipiani, will become the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Kote Surguladze of Our Georgia – Free Democrats will become the State Minister for Diasporas.
Chairman of the Republican Party David Usupashvili introduced Maya Kobakhidze of Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia as his Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
