Igor Slyunyaev replaces Govorun as Russian Minister for Regional Development

Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Igor Slyunyaev, member of the State Council of Russia and former Governor of the Kostroma Region, as the new Minister for Regional Development, replacing Oleg Govorun.

Putin signed a decree with disciplinary punishments for Govorun in September for unfulfilling presidential orders. Media started active discussions of his resignation back then.
