Ali Gasanov, head of the socio-political section of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, said that Azerbaijan will focus on prevention of negative processes of mutual misunderstanding.
The official calls Azerbaijan one of the most active members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). He said that the country improved partner relations with Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Middle Asian states in transportation, energy, freighting, Trend reports.
Gasanov said that Azerbaijan realized TRACECA at the Great Silk Road Conference in Baku in 1998, attended by ECO states and other Eurasian countries. Azerbaijan is realizing the East-West and North-South transport corridors to deliver hydrocarbons from the Caspian Sea to the world market.
The presidential official reminded that Azerbaijan cooperates in cultural, social and political areas. Most of the states are Islamic and have common culture, religion, language.
