An international NGO of Georgians, Abkhazians and Ossetians for peace, democracy and development (EUGAO) was formed and presented by its President Professor Nestan Kirtadze, Interfax reports.
It is a branch of the Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetian House founded in Tbilisi in late 2011.
The structure is to encourage formation of economic and social infrastructure, cultural and science cooperation.
The program of EUGAO includes visits of Kirtadze to Moscow in 2012-2013. Meetings will be organized with governmental and community officials. The organization is supported by the EU. It will be presented at the European Parliament in November.
Abkhazians and Ossetians are opposed to attempts of rapprochement with Georgia. The new Georgian government calls Saakashvili’s policy inefficient.
