Iran needs to form a special center to coordinate state and public structures in the economic war with the US, as stated by General Holam Jalali, Commander of the Revolutionary Guard. He believes that the economic war with the US has been long and the latter has taken extreme measures.
Jalali believes that the US uses the Council of Europe, European Union and mass media to pressurize Iran. The same methods were used against Iraq, North Korea and Cuba.
The EU passed new sanctions against Iranian banks, industry and navigation a few days ago. The will enforce the old sanctions to persuade Iran to quit the nuclear program.
The National Iranian Oil Company and 25 of its subsidiaries, the National Gas Company of Iran, national company for processing and sales of oil and the National Shipping Company were affected by the sanctions.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the sanctions hit the economy, but the government was ready to resist them. There were major obstacles in transfer of cash and oil exports. Ahmadinejad believes that they need some time to overcome the barriers. The president insists that the West is having a secret war with Iran. He noted that Iran was a friend of the US and other states, except Israel.
