Kazakhstan is forming a forces with advanced weapons and equipment in the Caspian Region, Defense Minister Adilbek Jaksybekov said.
The minister handed banners for new naval and aviation base formed in 2011. Banners were received by Colonel Yerlan Kozgulov, Commander of the air defenses, and Captain I Rank Serik Burambayev of the Naval Forces.
The “Kazakhstan” missile carrier built at the Zenit Shipyard was granted to the regional fleet. The ship was built for the 20th anniversary of Kazakh armed forces.
