The Turkish embassy in Baghdad said that hundreds of citizens were stopped at the Ibrahim al-Halil checkpoint in Iraq due to problems with visas.
The police of Baghdad said that 14 buses with 90 Turks were stopped on the way to Saudi Arabia.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said 1200 Turks were stopped on their journey to Salahaddin and Kerbel.
