Ingushetia and Chechnya prepare for discussions of frontiers

The Chechen commission for administrative border with Ingushetia has prepared all the documents to resolve the issue. Chechen Speaker of Parliament Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov presented a report proving ownership of the Sunzhensky and part of the Malgobeksky Districts to Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

A document of 1934 proves that the districts belong to Chechnya, Abdurakhmanov said.

Kadyrov emphasized that borders will be set according to the law with no Ingush lands taken away. If Ingushetia proves Chechnya wrong, the latter will apologize, Kadyrov adds.

The Chechen leader stressed that no one may ruin the republic’s relations with Ingushetia.

Ingushetia started preparations for the talks in early October and presented results to its Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. He sent the Ingush project of settling the border dispute to the Chechen parliament, Russian Ministry for Regional Development and the office of the Russian plenipotentiary presidential envoy to the NCFD.
