Ingush leader offers to help militants who surrender

The head of the Ingush Republic, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, is offering clemency to militants who surrender. Yevkurov also published his personal telephone number this week, which militants who are going to surrender may use to contact the head of the republic himself.
"Today you can all return home, return to your families. I promise you to help adapt and get minimal punishment for crimes committed," Yevkurov wrote in his blog on LiveJournal.com.

The action is a part of Yevkurov's long-term strategy to combat terror and crime in Ingushetia.
