The Turkish military have killed 670 members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the last 9 months.
The military have found 3 tons of explosives, 400 rifles, 800 hand grenades. 6300 people suspected of supporting PKK were arrested, about 170 more gave up.
The Turkish conflict with the Kurdistan Workers' Party has been ongoing for over 25 years. The PKK demands independence. The conflict has resulted in deaths of over 40,000 people. The UN and the European Union recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization.
