Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a letter to Justice Minister Sadeq Larijani Amoli with a request to grant access to Tehran's Evin Jail to see Ali Akbar Javanfekr, former presidential advisor for media, director of IRNA.
The official was jailed in June 2012 for anti-Islamic materials and disrespect to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
