Turkey increases defense spending for objective reasons - Togrul Ismail

Turkey has recently announced its budget for 2013. According to Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, the country's income will amount to $204.7 billion, with spending at $223.4. Defence spending will increase by $4.6 billion.

As member of the Ankara University of Economics and Technology Togrul Ismail told Vestnik Kavkaza, the increase in defence spending is natural since the country's authorities are continuing fighting terror and the situation surrounding the Syrian crisis is getting worse.
