The suspected attempted murderers of Tatarstan's Muslim spiritual leader, Ilduz Fayzov, were killed today during a special police operation that has recently ended in Kazan.
According to the Investigative Committee's spokesman Vladimir Markin, the suspects opened fire when police officers tried to arrest them.
One officer was killed during the operation, media reported earlier.
