Sargsyan congratulates Gul on Republic Day

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul on Republic Day (Turkish national holiday).

Among other greetings this one should be considered out of the ordinary, because, as you know, there are still no diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia because of the question of recognition of the "Armenian genocide" in the Ottoman Empire in 1915. Moreover, in 1993 Turkey unilaterally closed the Turkish-Armenian border because of the Karabakh war.
