Sassir Bandar, Iraqi Civil Aviation Chief, reported about inspection of an Iranian plane flying to Syria. No weapons were found onboard, only food and medicaments.
This has been the second inspection of Iranian planes flying to Syria in Iraq. Inspections were provoked by US officials who expressed concerns with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s obtaining weapons from Iran.
Iraq did not allow a plane from North Korea to pass its aerospace to Syria the previous month.
