Georgian Prosecutor General Archil Kbilashvili announced plans of major reshuffles. High-ranking prosecutors and their deputies will be replaced, including district prosecutors and the prosecutor of Tbilisi. The new prosecutor general will choose prosecutors individually, Trend reports.
Kbilashvili recommended people willing to work as prosecutors to send their CVs to the Justice Ministry.
The new prosecutor general demanded postponement of all cases at law courts by two weeks to find time to reconsider wrong verdicts. People whose cases were initiated 2-3 months ago cannot be called guilty.
Prosecutors will need a week for reshuffle so that new staff would reconsider cases.
