Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said that the country wanted to improve relations with Turkey as long as Ankara stayed away from Iraq’s home affairs and avoided violations of aerospace, Trend reports.
Al-Maliki said that hiding former Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi sentenced to death was another obstacle.
Cooperation of Turkish companies and the Kurdish autonomy and Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani was a problem in relations of Turkey and Iraq.
Al-Maliki declined the invitation to visit Ankara and called Turkey a country turning into an enemy. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that Iraq should resolve own home affairs before accusing other states of hostility.
