EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton says she welcomes the decision made by Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Albania, Norway, Liechtenstein and the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia to join the EU sanctions against Belarus, Grani.ru reports.
The EU Council decided to extend the sanctions against Belarus until October 31st 2013 during its meeting in Luxembourg on October 15.
